We have been very busy and I have not had a chance to blog but Micah is here and doing GREAT! He was born on October 27 @ 12:08 a.m. He was 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 3/4 in. He spent 5 days in NICU for low playlets but they are back to normal and he is healthy. We enjoyed having our families come visit and share this special time with us! Micah's Room

Here are a few pictures of the nursery!! Our parents came down this summer and helped to complete the paint, put ALL the furniture together, and added decorations! We would not have been able to complete it without their help :) We are very blessed! Now all we need is a precious baby boy!!

Costa Rica Mission Trip

We spent the past eight days in Sabanilla, Costa Rica with our high school students. We were able to participate in tract distribution, feeding the homeless, visiting several elementary school and an orphanage, and meeting the people who live in "The Hole". During this trip we were able to see how the Lord is more than enough. We saw this lived out by the people living in "the Hole". They did not have anything but they live with joy knowing that the Lord will provide! It was an amazing trip and it has challanged us to focus on the community around us and to reach out to them in this same way showing them God's love!

Enjoy some pictures and please pray for the people of Coast Rica! :)

Kemah Boardwalk

Molli and Emilee came to visit us in Huffman for a couple of days. Yesterday we went to Kemah and enjoyed the boardwalk. We decided to ride the Boardwalk BEAST. It was a 25 minute speedboat ride. The ticket guy said it would get you a little wet. As you can see from the pictures a little wet means COMPLETELY SOAKED!!! It was really fun :)

Teacher Website

I saw a need for a website that was very helpful for educators and the use of technology in the classroom. When I was looking for a website for teachers I came across Education World’s Technology Integration. This website gives educators many choices when looking for a good place to find new and innovative ways to incorporate technology into the elementary classroom. Teachers can go to this website and find articles about new technology from professional technology specialist. Technology Integration includes resources for teachers to use with the students in your classroom. Classrooms are full of children that are eager to learn the newest technology and the Teacher’s World Technology Integration website allows teachers a variety of resources to engage students in a full view of technology. When working with this website, I found it easy to maneuver around the site and user friendly for even people that are challenge with technology. The best part about This website is that is it free! Teachers can use the entire website with no cost or sign up. Administrators can use this website to encourage their staff to enhance their technology in the classroom. They can show their teachers this site during staff development and encourage them to use it to help them as they prepare their classrooms for the current technology available. The 21st century learner will benefit from teachers using this website because it will enhance the teacher’s technology base and allow students to have technology in their everyday lives. The 21st century learner will be more technologically advanced than the teachers that are teaching them. It is important for the teachers to stay up to date with the current technology available.
